The following systems are designed to be region-free in every way, with no caveats – and are the most friendly to importers and collectors. They’re listed here alphabetically, rather than in Generation groups, due to the spread of the systems over those sets. They require no modding or circumvention techniques to play out-of-region titles, and work for all 3 regions in this way, not just one or two. Naturally there may be a few exceptions for special cartridges or hardware, however; and these are listed below where applicable.
